What Our Customers Are Saying
Anna, Tommy, Brent, and Dana Barbee (and every member of their team) are the definition of community is family. When I first encountered the Barbees, they taught me what a CSA was – before I lived near enough to a growers market to visit weekly.
These days, they greet me with a smile and a wave each week at our local market – they know my kiddos, and my kiddos, know them. They share insights about what’s in season, how to eat it, and how to cook it, and even go so far as to print and deliver recipes after we’ve chatted about them at the market.
Barbee Farms makes our region smarter, stronger, and sweeter through their work to educate, feed, and befriend the people who reside here.
Barbee Farms produce has been the foundation of my meal prep for at least the last 15 years. When my NYC foodie brother scoffed at my insistence that there was a world of difference, I cooked him a full dinner of Barbee produce: Soup, salad, vegetables. He was genuinely surprised at how much better everything tasted.
During the bountiful months of summer, I stock up, prepare, and freeze food for the winter so I can enjoy it all year long. The excellent quality of the food is matched by the delightful farmers who produce it – the Barbees themselves are truly good people whom it is a privilege to know. They are the highlight of the Davidson Farmers’ Market.
